Our guides are currently fishing for spring king Chinook salmon, early run summer steelhead and trout on the upper Rogue river near Shady Cove. They have found back bouncing bait and running plugs most productive for salmon and have been side drifting and nymph fishing under an indicator for steelhead and trout. Copper Johns are always a good bet when nymph fishing the Rogue. Summer steelhead should be in good numbers by mid July.
