Rogue River salmon fishing was great this past year resulting in high fish counts at the hatchery. This is good news for the Rogue and we are excited about the next king salmon run which will begin in May.
If you are looking to fish this winter and spring, winter steelhead season has begun.
Winter steelhead season in Southern Oregon sees its 1st fishing opportunities at the coast. We are now fishing for winter steelhead on the Chetco, Elk and soon on the Sixes Rivers.
In January and February, we will focus our attention on the Umpqua River system. The Umpqua is known for its large winter fish and a healthy hatchery steelhead program on the south fork near Canyonville.
